An exciting milestone has been reached in Kamloops’ cultural landscape, as the City Council has unanimously adopted the ‘You Are Here’ Cultural Strategic Plan 2024-2034. This comprehensive plan, the result of a collaborative effort between the City and Thompson Rivers University, lays out six ambitious directions to enhance tourism, arts infrastructure, and support for cultural workers, among others.
The plan’s development was a truly collective endeavour, involving a signed memorandum of understanding in 2020, a highly engaging exhibition and research lab at the Kamloops Museum and Archives, and a survey on LetsTalk.Kamloops.ca which received nearly 500 responses.
